Designing for the Future
frog will launch the Design Mind speaker series this January, in a new effort to bring together today's leaders in business, technology, and design for an evening of discussion and debate. Held in frog's studios throughout the US and Europe, the series will feature prominent speakers from fashion, media, architecture, sports, design, sociology, and business, sharing their perspectives on market trends, cultural innovations, and more. Each event will consist of a presentation or panel discussion and a Q&A session with the audience. These events will be open to the public, encouraging a wide variety of individuals and industries to connect. The events will also be recorded and displayed on the frog website.
The frog Design Mind speaker series will premiere in San Francisco on January 11, 2007. Our first event will feature a discussion with Eric Ryan, co-founder of Method, whose well designed non-toxic cleaning products have taken American homes by storm. Method has introduced a welcome dose of style to its market segment, confirming the power of design to drive bottom line impact. Even more, its success offers a model of consumer-driven design, with products that take into account not only aesthetics, but the complete user experience. "People typically discover Method because of the design, love using it because of the fragrance, then discover it's good for you," says co-founder Eric Ryan. "It's that third piece that drives loyalty."
