Health Games Camp

"500m people will be using healthcare mobile applications by 2015" - research2guidance

Healthcare applications are becoming more and more important in providing people with information to make make better decisions and encourage healthier behaviors. Gaming has shown that it can affect behavior change in people in a way that is engaging and fun.

On December 11 and 12, frog will host HealthGamesCamp, an event to collaboratively learn how games can be used to drive positive change in health behaviors. A multidisciplinary group of people will explore the intersection of these two exciting spaces and gain a foundation around games and also learn from each other.

The entire event will be structured as a multi-level game out of which a variety of games or game prototypes will be produced. We want to give a mechanism for both technical and non-technical attendees to be involved throughout the weekend, so some of the games will be non-digital—either board games, party games, script-based games, or alternative reality games—and some games will be digital—both web-based and mobile.

We are inviting health care professionals, game designers, developers, patient representatives, mobile and web developers, design professsionals and interested members of the general public.
