Digital lifestyle at the intersection of attention, beauty, productivity, and the social web.
I saw this mural at the "Tacheles" in Berlin -- the legendary community center at which Bruce Springsteen shot his video to "Glory Days" (when I was still young....).
Speaking of the past, it is moving faster in these days of Twitter, and Berlin, with its unique blend of rich history and "poor but sexy" trendiness, seems to be uniquely positioned to manifest the "Now is gone" sentiment. It is almost a theme when you walk through the "Hauptstadt's" streets. At the front of the Pergamon Museum, for example, I spotted a neon installation that says “All art was once contemporary.” That's a good point, and it has been made before. The Creatisphere blog is right: "We cannot be Rembrandts again. We cannot go back home." Not even if home was just a blink of an eye ago.
