frog is delighted to host an invitation-only welcoming reception on Thursday, June 2, from 6pm-8.30pm in our new Johannesburg location. The former Aricent team has now moved under the frog brand, continuing and expanding the innovation and technology services work for local clients. For the 40+ year innovation history of frog, this means opening a new chapter: As first global design and innovation firm, frog launches a presence in Africa!
Industries are embracing “game mechanics” to influence and change behavior now more than ever. No industry is more ripe for change and suited for this “gamification” than health care.
On May 3 - 5 at the Space Needle in Seattle, frog design will host "Changing the Game,” a health conference in partnership with the Innovation Learning Network, where front-line innovators and leaders of healthcare innovation will explore how to take advantage of gaming ideas and principles to inspire innovation in the serious world of healthcare.
On Thursday, February 24th, frog design will host the Mobile Frontier, a discussion of the future of mobile money with Jan Chipchase, Executive Creative Director at frog design and Dr. Bill Maurer, Director of The Institute for Money, Technology, and Financial Inclusion at the University of California at Irvine.
In the old days, designers began their designs by sketching in order to explore different form factors, following the old adage “form follows function.” Twenty years ago, frog founder Hartmut Esslinger made a ground breaking statement “Form follows emotion” to explain the complicated relationship a design has with its consumers. Nowadays, designers no longer focus solely on the object itself. A beautiful design can no longer win the hearts of customers. Instead, human insights are at the core of the innovation process. Design researchers with experience rooted in sociology, psychology, and anthropology are the unique talents who uncover the needs from customers and identify the design opportunities to address those needs.
frog invites you to a special event at the Churchill Club with our founder, Hartmut Esslinger in conversation with Guy Kawasaki.
