My Heart is in The Work

Associate Creative Director Jon Kolko gave the keynote "My Heart is in The Work" at this year's IxDA conference in Savannah, Georgia. His talk examined interaction designers' ability to affect change at the intersection of experience, behavior, meaning, and culture. Jon also emphasized their responsibility to approach their work with philanthropic enthusiasm that would make Andrew Carnegie proud.

Disruptive Innovation

frog Fellow Luke Williams gave the keynote speech at the Frontiers of Interaction Conference in Rome on June 3-4. The conference focus is on interaction design and is widely considered the leading innovation event in Italy. Williams, a designer who is also an Adjunct Professor of Innovation at the NYU Stern School of Business, is the author of the forthcoming book on Disruptive Thinking. His talk, called “Thinking the Unthinkable: How To Spark Disruptive Innovation,” focused on learning to think about what is usually ignored and to pay attention to what is not obvious in design and business solutions.
