Behaving Badly in Vancouver

Declaring that the medium for interaction designers is not technology, but behavior, Robert Fabricant, Executive Creative Director at frog, delivers his keynote speech at Interaction 09 in Vancouver on February 7th. Robert argues that the core of all sustainability efforts centers on behavior change and not exclusively on materials and processes. He introduces a shift from “design as visualization of data” to “design as the changing of behavior.” Robert delves further into this argument using the case of Project Masiluleke, an initiative that harnesses the power of mobile technology in the fight against HIV in South Africa.
