In his TED talk at TEDGlobal in Oxford, author Sam Martin shares photos of a quirky world hobby that's trending with the XY set: the "manspace." (They're custom-built hangouts where a man can claim a bit of his own territory to work, relax, be himself.) Grab a cold one and enjoy.

Manspaces - answer real needs

Sam,
Great work and insight. But I think there is more going on here. But first a question...do women need womanspaces? (I don't have a clue). Back to men...I think these spaces are really about these men's (and most mens) needs to persistently connect savor what is really important to them and to their view of their own deep identities and values. It's a place for collections of meaning full objects. It's also about being in a space that is theirs alone.... a place for safe self expression...away from public scrutiny. (I have two...my home office and my garage)
You need to make up a book on these.
